When your sales team is in a rut, sometimes all you need are a few motivational sales videos for your team meetings to jump start their productivity.
While relying on gimmicks and inspirational videos isn’t exactly the best long-term way to build a team of salesman, occasionally mixing in some motivating words can be just what your team needs. Here are 5 of the most motivational sales videos you can find:
Tony Robbins – Why we do what we do
This video below, from Tony Robbins, is a Ted Talk on “Why do we do what we do?”. In the video, Robbins doesn’t talk necessarily about finding motivation on sales. He talks about the importance of salespeople to find their “why”. Robbins touches on 3 major points for sales success:
Robbins believes that these 3 things are what lead to productive salesmen and women. The key to unlocking these factors is finding your “why”, which is essentially your motivation to do what you do.
If you are focused on the what or the how of sales, you are losing the point. The emotion of why is what drives success. Your “why” is totally individual to you. It could be as simple as wanting to help people or to increase your income. There is no right or wrong “why”, but you must figure it out or you will have no emotional drive in the sales process.
Motivation and Inspirational starter for your sales meeting
This video, from Daily Gameplan on YouTube, provides a series of motivational quotes for sales people. The list of quotes come from celebrities in the worlds of sports, politics, business, and leadership. Seeing even a few of these quotes in the morning should help push you through the day.
Some of the names included are: James W. Pence, Muhammad Ali, Theodore Roosevelt, Henry Ford, Michelangelo, Mark Hunter, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Dale Carnegie, Steve Jobs, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Michael Jordan, Walt Disney, Benjamin Franklin, and more. You can see the video below.
Selling ain’t hard when you know how
This video, from Victor Antonio, focuses on how simple the sales process can actually be. He says that sales do not come easy to most people, as 87% of the population finds selling to be a challenge or uncomfortable, and the larger the product you are selling, the more challenging it becomes.
Selling ultimately comes down to creating a process and following that process. The process constantly changes and is an art form and a science. It is a long road, but it can absolutely be done by anyone who commits to the practice.
Mastering Sales Motivation & Mindset – Sales Tips For Success
The video below, from Gavin Ingham, takes a humorous look at the differences between top performing salespeople and those that struggle.
This shows a good look at how focus and energy levels impact work with clients. If people arrive at work unmotivated and unfocused, they have almost no chance at having a productive day. It can be equally as hard to be productive if you come in with a strong mindset, but then get distracted by a tough phone call with a client or a paperwork mishap.
Motivation for salespeople must come from the inside. If they are only motivated by external factors, then they will only be temporarily motivated. If they are internally motivated, they will have a burning desire for success that will last.
Grant Cardone shares in the video below about one salesperson who is struggling with his clients.
While many salespeople are quick to blame their failures on others, it is usually an internal issue. If you are blaming your clients for being lethargic or uninterested in your products, it is most likely because you are lethargic or uninterested in your products! If you don’t have enthusiasm for what you are selling, why in the world would your prospects?
If you have the best product or service out there, you should let your clients know. If you can’t convey to them how much their lives will improve from making a purchase, you don’t deserve to make the sale.
While there are plenty more motivational sales videos out there for you to find inspiration from, the most important thing to do is to act. After all, if you are sitting around watching too many videos, you probably aren’t being very productive.
