Are You Truly Happy?

Do you get up every morning being thankful for what your life represents? Would you change your life? Are you where you thought you would be? If no, who is stopping you from being happy?

Everyone is guilty of becoming comfortable in their life. Is that always bad? Are you truly happy every day? Do you feel complete when you go to sleep at night? I started to take a long look at my life lately and realized I would have done things different if I could. So why am I still doing the same thing?  The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. As over the top as it sounds, I find myself going slightly insane with my life. Who is to blame? ME! Yes, there are other people and factors in my life which I allow to influence my happiness. But at the end of the day if you are not happy in the situation, then why are you there and who is to blame? Take a minute and think about it. It applies to all aspect of your life; your relationship, job, personal life, and even your health.

If you’re unhappy in a relationship, do something about it. Speak up! Try new things or get some counseling. Who is stopping you from trying? Your job – do you dread going to work every day? If so, change your attitude and if that doesn’t work look for a new job. If you complain on a daily basis that you are unhappy with your body as you sit eating a Big Mac and fries, you are your worst enemy.

The problem I find is I am all or nothing. I need to slow down and address each problem and deal with it as it occurs. It’s great to have big goals but those goals are sometimes hard to see on a cloudy day. What am I going to do this hour to ensure I continue smiling or not get frustrated?

Now you have made it through the day and soon the week. Consequently, by the end of the week you should feel good about yourself. This in turns gives you more encouragement to stay on your new path to change your life.

You ARE going to fail A LOT since you are human but your failures will teach you to become stronger. It’s important to remind yourself no one is perfect. At the end of the day don’t we have the same goals? We just want to be HAPPY!
