Remember the Better Things in Life

Good Day

We all have those down days (or weeks) where we just feel that life isn’t going the way we want or everything is just going downhill. For me, I like to throw myself little pity parties like “why me?” or “my life sucks” and I am just a miserable person to be around, but then I think of how fortunate I am. I have a family that loves me unconditionally and supports me; I get to come home to a roof over my head and food to eat and water to drink every day. I have a job and a car to get me there. What I am saying is, I have a lot more than a lot of people out there and when I start feeling sorry for myself, I think of the people who barely make it and are starving because they don’t even have enough money to buy themselves food. While it is okay for everyone to feel sorry for themselves and to have their down days, remembering the positives and being grateful for what you have instead of what you don’t have or wish you had can really make a difference!
