I am Grateful for All My Flaws and Other Blessings

When I look in the mirror I see imperfections and flaws I would love to be able to change but I remind myself that at least I have the ability to see myself in a mirror. What about all the individuals who not only cannot see but also the individuals who do not have a mirror? I am grateful I have the blessing of sight so I may see my flaws in my mirror. Just the thought that I have a mirror is a blessing in itself. How many people in our world today do not have a mirror but must look into a body of water or some other reflective material to see their image? I have been blessed with having numerous mirrors in which to view my flaws.
On a daily basis I hear of all the homeless people who do not have the means to afford a home yet are grateful they were able to eat today. While there are things I would like to change about my appearance and wish I could eliminate many of my flaws I am grateful I do not have to be concerned about where I will get my next meal. Having the ability to eat on a regular basis is just one of the many blessings I take for granted. And upon occasion I have even been known to complain that I have eaten too much! But when I stop to think about the fact I just gorged myself I am grateful I have the means to eat too much because they are so many people who are starving that I feel ashamed of myself.
I have way too many flaws to be viewed as perfect but I also have so many blessings for which I am grateful. I am just very grateful as well as thankful I have the ability to be my very imperfect flawed self surrounded by all the blessings many others do not have.
